Opportunity brief
Responsibilities:
- Building and shipping features on our cloud cost-optimisation platform — writing production code in Python/TypeScript alongside the founding team.
- Working with AWS APIs (Cost Explorer, CUR, CloudWatch, Organizations) and MongoDB Atlas APIs to pull, normalise and model cloud spend data.
- Developing backend services and REST APIs, plus building out UI components in React for dashboards and reporting views.
- Writing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and helping run our Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Turning raw cost and usage data into actionable recommendations — savings plans, rightsizing, idle resource detection, anomaly flagging.
- Testing features against real customer scenarios, documenting behaviour, and fixing what breaks.
- Participating in product discussions — you will be expected to have opinions on what we build next, not just how.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of cloud fundamentals (AWS preferred) — EC2, S3, IAM, VPC.
- Familiarity with Git and comfort working in a Linux/CLI environment.
- Prior exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform is a strong plus.
