Talent Formula (www.talentformula.co) is a consulting firm that offers outsourced financial and accounting Human Resources to Chartered Accounting firms worldwide. We currently have a Senior Accountant (Audit) position available with our client, Azets UK.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Accountant (Audit), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements while beginning to take ownership of a client portfolio under Manager guidance. The role provides strong exposure to audit planning, execution, and client interaction, along with opportunities to coach junior team members.
Job Role & Responsibilities
Audit Delivery & Execution
- Execute audit fieldwork, including substantive and analytical procedures, primarily at client premises.
- Take responsibility for planning and completing audit assignments with appropriate and sufficient documentation.
- Identify and clearly communicate high-level risks, issues, and judgement areas to the Manager/Partner.
- Plan and manage the execution and finalization of audits for Manager/Partner review.
Client & Portfolio Exposure
- Begin managing elements of a client portfolio with support from the Manager.
- Develop professional client relationships through clear communication and reliable delivery.
- Support engagement-level revenue and profitability objectives through efficient audit execution.
Team Support & Development
- Guide and support junior team members during fieldwork and assignment delivery.
- Provide practical coaching on audit procedures, documentation, and professional conduct.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment across audit engagements.
Qualifications & Expertise
- ACA / ACCA / CA/ Semi Qualified CA.
- 3 years of experience post Articleship in Statutory audit.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP preferred but not essential.
- Experience auditing clients across a range of industries.
- Hands-on experience in audit planning, execution, and completion.
- Prior exposure to coaching or mentoring junior team members.
