Responsibilities of the Candidate:

Support the day‑to‑day operation of the IBM MQ messaging platform across multiple environments.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM MQ components.
Monitor platform health, investigate issues, and help resolve incidents and service disruptions.
Participate in change, release, and patching activities under guidance from senior engineers.
Help implement and follow operational standards, runbooks, and best practices.
Work with application teams to support onboarding, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and platform improvements.
Support security, compliance, and audit requirements related to messaging services.
Take part in on‑call or support rotations where required.

Requirements:

Hands‑on experience working with IBM MQ (or a strong understanding of enterprise messaging concepts).
Experience supporting production systems in a Linux or Unix‑based environment.
Basic understanding of:
Messaging patterns (point‑to‑point, pub/sub)
High availability and resilience concepts
Networking fundamentals
Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar) for operational tasks.
Experience using monitoring and alerting tools.
Ability to follow processes, troubleshoot issues, and escalate effectively when needed.
Good communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with other teams.
