Event Format:
Participants will compete in a Boot2Root environment where teams are required to:
- Enumerate the target system and identify vulnerabilities.
- Exploit vulnerabilities to gain access to different stages.
- Escalate privileges and progress through the system.
- Discover flags hidden across the different stages.
- Ultimately compromise the system and achieve root access.
The competition consists of various stages, with participants progressing through the system by solving challenges and exploiting vulnerabilities.
Duration: 3 Hours
Rules:
- Participants must register for the event before the registration deadline.
- Participants must report to the venue on time.
- Only the systems, services and targets provided as part of the competition may be attacked.
- Attacks against event infrastructure, organizer systems, scoring infrastructure or other unauthorized systems are strictly prohibited.
- Participants must not attempt to disrupt the competition infrastructure or interfere with the availability of the event platform.
- Sharing flags, exploits, credentials or other competition-sensitive information with other teams may result in disqualification.
- Participants must follow the instructions provided by the organizers and volunteers throughout the event.
- Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage, tamper with scoring, or exploit the competition infrastructure may lead to immediate disqualification.
- The organizers reserve the right to modify the competition rules, scoring system or format if required.
- The organizers' decision regarding disputes, scoring and disqualification will be final.
Eligibility:
- The event is open to cybersecurity enthusiasts, students and participants interested in ethical hacking, penetration testing, Linux, networking and privilege escalation.
- Participants are expected to have basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, Linux and networking. Prior CTF experience is helpful but not mandatory.
What to Bring:
- A laptop with the required tools and software.
- Stable power/charging equipment as required.
- Basic knowledge of Linux, networking and cybersecurity tools.
- Your enthusiasm for breaking into systems!
