About the Competition:
180DC SGGSCC proudly presents Case-ette 6.0, the annual flagship case study competition hosted by Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce.
Case-ette is designed to challenge participants to think strategically, analyze real-world business problems, and develop innovative solutions. Conducted in an online format, the competition provides participants with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, strategic thinking, and management skills while competing in a dynamic business environment.
Competition Format:
- Case-ette 2025 is the sixth edition of 180 Degrees Consulting, SGGSCC's flagship case study competition, powered by Masters' Union.
- The competition consists of three rounds.
- The first round is an eliminator that tests participants' problem-solving, analytical, and ideation skills.
- In the second round, shortlisted teams are required to present innovative and practical solutions through a presentation.
- In the final round, shortlisted teams will present their solutions before an esteemed panel of judges from leading organizations.
- The winning teams will be announced on the official Instagram handle of 180DC SGGSCC within 24 hours of the final presentation round.
Eligibility:
- Open to students from all universities pursuing any course or degree.
- Students from all specializations are eligible to participate.
- Teams may consist of up to 4 members.
- Individual participation is allowed.
- Cross-college teams are permitted.
- A participant may be part of only one team.
- Any violation of the eligibility guidelines will result in the disqualification of the entire team.
Competition Stages:
Quiz Round:
- Participants must answer 25 questions within 20 minutes.
- This is an eliminator round.
- The quiz will be hosted on the Unstop platform.
- Questions will cover consulting case problems, aptitude, analytics, economics, and related topics.
- Each team will receive a 6-hour submission window.
- Date: 4th September 2025
- Time: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Qualified teams will be informed through their registered email IDs.
Orientation & Case Release:
- Understand the competition format, evaluation criteria, and participation guidelines.
- Learn effective approaches to solving case studies.
- Gain insights from industry experts on excelling in case competitions.
- Interact with organizers and experts during the live Q&A session.
- Attendance is mandatory for all participants.
- Date: 5th September 2025
- Time: 7:00 PM onwards
Case Submission:
- Shortlisted teams from the preliminary round will receive the detailed case study.
- The case will assess problem-solving ability, business acumen, analytical thinking, and knowledge of marketing, finance, operations, and strategy.
- Solutions must be submitted in PDF format with the file name [TeamName]_CasetteR2.
- Teams must submit their solutions through the Unstop platform within the stipulated deadline.
- Teams will only receive the case statement. Any assumptions made and sources used must be clearly stated and justified.
Presentation Round:
- Shortlisted teams will be informed via their registered email IDs.
- Teams will present their case solutions before a panel of industry professionals and alumni from reputed business schools.
- Each team will receive a designated presentation slot and Google Meet link.
- Teams must present using the submitted presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
- Presentation Duration: 7 minutes
- Q&A Duration: 5 minutes
