Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in the identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities.
Support the monitoring of network traffic for suspicious activities.
Help in the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and tools.
Participate in security awareness training development and delivery.
Conduct research on emerging cyber threats and security best practices.
Assist in incident response activities under supervision.
Document security procedures, activities, and findings.
Collaborate with the security team on various cybersecurity projects.
Learn and apply relevant cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
Contribute to improving the overall security posture of the organization.
Participate in assigned practical projects and cybersecurity activities under mentor guidance.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Strong interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of networking concepts and operating systems.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Interest in network security, ethical security practices, vulnerability assessment, and cyber threats.
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem- solving.
Ability to learn and apply new cybersecurity tools and concepts.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Prior project or cybersecurity-related exposure will be an added advantage.
