Role Description:
The Derivatives Trader is a full-time role responsible for executing and managing trades across derivatives instruments. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring markets in real time, identifying trading opportunities, implementing approved trading strategies, and managing risk and hedging positions in line with company guidelines. The role involves analyzing market data, economic trends, and relevant news, preparing concise trade rationales, and maintaining accurate trade records and reports. The Derivatives Trader will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align trading activities with risk management policies and client objectives, while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong capability in Trading and Futures Trading, with experience executing and managing positions in live markets.
- Proficiency in Trading Strategies and Hedging to optimize returns while controlling risk.
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data and use trading platforms and tools effectively.
- Attention to detail, disciplined risk management mindset, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting in a hybrid work model.
- Prior experience in derivatives trading, brokerage, or financial markets is highly beneficial; relevant certifications are a plus.
