Opportunity brief
Save the Egg is a thrilling hands-on engineering challenge where creativity meets gravity! Armed with only simple everyday materials, teams must design a clever contraption to protect a fragile egg from a heart-stopping drop. With each round, the height (and the suspense) keeps rising—until only the strongest designs survive. Will your egg conquer the fall, or crack under pressure?

Event Specific Rules:
- Each team must consist of 1-2 participants.
- All building materials will be provided by organizers
- No external items are allowed.
- Each team will receive exactly 1 egg, which must be used as provided (no boiling, freezing, or coating).
- 30 minutes will be given to design and build the structure.
- Only provided materials may be used.
- More than 50% of the egg must remain clearly visible.
- Final designs must be approved by judges before the drop test.
- Eggs will be dropped from increasing heights.
- Teams cannot modify or repair their structure once testing begins.
- If the egg cracks or breaks, the team is eliminated.
- The team whose egg survives the highest drop wins.
- Tie-breaker 1: The lighter structure wins.
- Tie-breaker 2: Simpler design wins.
- Judges' decisions are final.
Rules:
- Participants must carry their college ID cards.
- Arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the event for check-in.
- Late entries or walk-ins will not be entertained, and registration will be canceled.
- Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
