About the Company
Rivyou is building a social product discovery platform where reviews come from people you actually trust. We are a high-growth startup working directly with the founding team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and backend systems using Django & Django REST Framework.
- Design and manage a hybrid data layer across PostgreSQL/MySQL and MongoDB, balancing structured and unstructured review data.
- Work on user authentication, review storage, and personalized feed generation.
- Build and maintain APIs for the review request flow, email/WhatsApp triggers, hosted review pages, WhatsApp Flows submission.
- Build async processing pipelines with Celery for tasks like notifications, scraping, and content checks.
- Integrate AI/LLM-powered features, review sentiment analysis, AI-generated review summaries, fake/spam review detection, and smart feed ranking.
- Experiment with embeddings and vector search to power personalized recommendations and product discovery.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines and contribute to production observability (logging, monitoring, alerting).
- Build theme app extension backend support (app blocks, install/uninstall webhooks).
- Implement a future-ready backend architecture that can handle scale.
Requirements
- Solid programming fundamentals in Python.
- Comfort with REST APIs, relational/NoSQL databases, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Curiosity and ownership, comfortable working on ambiguous, real-world problems, not just tutorials.
- Final-year students are eligible.
- Bonus Points: Hands-on experience with Django, MongoDB, Celery, or Docker. Exposure to AI/ML APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) or vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, pgvector). Any production systems experience, deployments, monitoring, or scaling for real users.
