Overview
Solve a murder mystery through clues hidden in songs, poetry, crime scenes, and campus locations. Investigate evidence, analyse testimonies, uncover motives, and piece together the true narrative. The team that best solves the case will be crowned Murder Balladeers.

Event Rules:
- Round 1: Discovery of the Crime
Teams will report to the 'Headquarters', where they will be briefed on investigative ethics, procedures, and the code of conduct for handling crime scenes. All preliminary evidence and information regarding the case will be presented to the teams, including a case file, video of witness testimonies and a general brief of the crime.
- Round 2: The Investigation
Teams will set out to examine dedicated crime scenes across the campus to follow leads and collect additional evidence for the next few hours. Time is of the essence, my detective friend. Each team will only get access to a location for a fixed period of time. Teams might be required to visit the locations in a specific sequence, to piece together the true narrative.
- Round 3: The Final Verdict
After completion of the fieldwork, the detectives will return to the HQ to start composing their song of murder. The teams will be asked to prepare a report or a theory of the crime in the form of a poem or a song. They will be judged for both artistic creativity and for how close they come to the truth.
