Role Overview
We are looking for a senior Sales Planning & Distribution Strategy leader to drive data-led planning and distribution strategy for a large-scale field sales organisation. The role will focus on network planning, manpower optimisation, territory design, productivity improvement and capability building.
Key Responsbilities
- Lead Sales Planning and Distribution Strategy for a large field organisation.
- Develop manpower and network plans based on business potential, productivity and market requirements.
- Design and optimise territories, locations and field-force deployment.
- Use business data and analytics to identify productivity gaps and improve sales output.
- Develop frameworks for workforce planning, capacity planning and productivity management.
- Build and strengthen sales capabilities, processes and planning mechanisms.
- Work closely with business, sales and analytics teams to drive data-backed decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the utilisation of the existing distribution network and merchant relationships across multiple products.
- Build scalable planning models that can support future business growth.
- Lead and mentor a small team of 1–2 data/analytics resources supporting planning and execution.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years of overall experience, preferably in Sales Strategy, Distribution Strategy, Sales Planning, Network Planning or Sales Transformation.
- Experience working with large-scale field sales or distribution teams.
- Strong understanding of manpower planning, territory planning and distribution/network optimisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with business data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Experience designing planning frameworks and processes rather than only executing existing plans.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in capability building and improving sales productivity.
- Experience in FMCG, Telecom, BFSI, Fintech, Consumer Internet or other large-scale distribution-led businesses is preferred.
- Candidates from reputed organisations with strong strategic, analytical and distribution exposure would be preferred.
- Preferably MBA from a premier institute.
