Job Overview
The Admissions Counsellor will be responsible for managing student and parent enquiries, conducting counselling sessions, generating and following up on leads, coordinating walk-ins, and converting prospective students into admissions.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication, counselling, persuasion, and sales skills, along with a strong understanding of the education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Calling
- Make outbound and cold calls to prospective parents and students.
- Follow up with leads received through various marketing channels.
- Explain courses, programs, academic offerings, schedules, and fee structures.
- Maintain regular communication with prospective parents.
Parent & Student Counselling
- Understand the academic requirements, concerns, and goals of students and parents.
- Recommend suitable courses/programs based on the student's requirements.
- Clearly communicate the benefits and value of the institute's programs.
- Build trust and establish strong relationships with parents.
Walk-in Management
- Handle and counsel parents and students visiting the centre.
- Conduct professional counselling sessions and institute tours where required.
- Address queries related to academics, faculty, fees, timings, batches, and programs.
- Ensure a positive experience throughout the admission process.
Sales & Admissions Conversion
- Convert leads and walk-ins into successful admissions.
- Handle objections related to fees, timings, competition, location, etc.
- Follow up strategically with interested parents to improve conversion rates.
- Take ownership of the complete admission cycle, from enquiry to enrolment.
Lead & Data Management
- Maintain accurate records of all leads, follow-ups, walk-ins, and admissions.
- Update CRM/lead management systems regularly.
- Track pending follow-ups and ensure timely communication.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports related to admissions and conversions.
Coordination
- Coordinate with the Academic, Faculty, Marketing, and HR/Operations teams whenever required.
- Coordinate student assessments, counselling sessions, and other admission-related activities.
- Support promotional and admission-driven events conducted by the institute.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
