Next Mile is hiring for Customer Experience and Community Intern

About the Company

Next Mile is a fitness and movement brand creating virtual challenges that make staying active more fun, rewarding, and community-driven. The team is working to build lasting relationships with participants and create a strong movement-focused community beyond each challenge.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to participant questions across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and email.
  • Assist with registration, challenge participation, submissions, certificates, and medal-related queries.
  • Follow up on unresolved issues and coordinate with the internal team to close them efficiently.
  • Maintain FAQs and response templates for recurring questions.
  • Help build and manage the Next Mile WhatsApp Channel and keep community conversations active.
  • Discover and connect with running clubs, cycling groups, gyms, and other fitness communities to explore collaborations.
  • Collect participant stories, experiences, testimonials, and feedback.
  • Identify potential ambassadors and community champions.
  • Help create beginner guides, challenge tips, educational resources, and other simple fitness content.
  • Support WhatsApp and email communications with existing participants.
  • Share weekly observations about customer concerns, recurring requests, and opportunities to improve the experience.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in talking to people.
  • Friendly, patient, empathetic, and customer-focused approach.
  • Organised and comfortable managing multiple conversations and follow-ups.
  • Interest in fitness, running, wellness, or an active lifestyle.
  • Comfort using WhatsApp, Instagram, and basic digital tools.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership and build initiatives from scratch.
  • Previous customer service or community-building experience is not required.
  • Personal laptop and reliable internet connection.
