Opportunity brief

JOB SUMMARY

Spend your summer at the center of how Molina builds and supports its provider network. This 10-week, paid internship pairs you with Provider Relations professionals at work that reaches real providers and members — provider outreach and education, network performance analytics, and process improvement. You will own a project from question to recommendation, present your findings to leaders, and leave with healthcare industry insight, a professional network, and experience you can point to on day one of your career.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with Provider Relations on outreach, education and onboarding support for our provider network.
  • Research and help resolve provider inquiries, and help prepare provider communications and training materials.
  • Sit in on joint operating committee and provider meetings, capture follow-ups, and see how partnerships are managed.
  • Support network adequacy, access and performance reporting, including provider data validation and Excel/Power BI dashboards.
  • Turn analysis into clear, concise recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • Projects may include: a provider directory accuracy audit, a network adequacy dashboard refresh, a provider onboarding/education toolkit, or a JOC reporting package refresh.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Curious, self-motivated and comfortable asking questions in a fast-moving team.
  • Clear, professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and good time management across multiple priorities.
  • Comfort with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and internet research; interest in data and analytics a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving, and the judgment to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, should be a freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Able to commit to the full-time, 10-week internship program
  • Candidate must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
