MARS is hiring for the role of Corporate Affairs Intern!
Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Leadership Visit Support: Provide end-to-end support for Global and Regional Leadership visits. Assist in scheduling, briefing, and organizing high-profile meetings where leaders connect with key ministers, government officials, and industry leaders to exchange meaningful, strategic dialogues.
- Stakeholder & Agreement Management: Help map, track, and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders. Support the drafting and alignment of official agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and regulatory alignment documentation.
- Policy Research: Monitor and summarize regional and national regulatory policies affecting the pet food and animal care industry.
- Brand PR & Product Campaigns: Assist in planning and executing brand PR initiatives that amplify product awareness and key campaign messaging across mainstream and digital media channels.
- Media & Editorial Support: Draft and proofread press releases, articles, feature stories, and briefing documents. Maintain and update the regional media database.
- Industry Representation: Support coordination and logistics for industry body events and corporate forums, positioning Mars Petcare as a thought leader in the pet care industry.
- Purpose Campaigns: Help drive and coordinate purpose-led, high-impact events, such as Global Adoption Week, to promote pet adoption and stray welfare in alignment with our corporate mission.
- Internal Communications: Partner with the People & Organization (P&O/HR) team to design and deploy key internal communications, newsletters, and engagement initiatives to align local Associates with global goals.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging corporate content for internal portals and corporate channels, celebrating team milestones and localized initiatives.
- Legal Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Legal team to support risk-monitoring and preparedness, ensuring quick and structured responses to any potential brand or corporate reputation crises.
- Executive Support: Directly assist the Corporate Affairs Leader in compiling executive summaries, creating presentation decks for high-level meetings, and managing routine administrative alignments.
- Educational Background: Completed a Bachelor's or master's degree in mass communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or a highly related field.
- Availability: Must be available for a full-time, 6-month in-office internship in Hyderabad.
- Joining: Must be an immediate joiner.
Requirements:
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to craft professional, clear, and compelling narratives for diverse audiences (internal associates, media, and external stakeholders).
- Interpersonal Agility: High emotional intelligence with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders and external dignitaries.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent project management skills, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Crisis Sensitivity: Sound judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive, confidential, or high-risk corporate information.
