Guidelines
- Event Type: Case Study Analysis and Strategic Pitch Competition.
- Eligibility: The event is open to college/university students participating as a team.
- Team Size: Each team must consist of 2–4 members.
- Inter-College Teams: Inter-college teams are allowed, subject to the event registration and organiser approval.
- Inter-Specialization Teams: Students from different branches/specializations may form a team. Teams are encouraged to bring members with complementary skills such as technology, business, finance, strategy, analytics, and innovation.
- Number of Rounds: The competition consists of 2 rounds.
- Total Event Duration: The official event duration is 3 hours.
- Maximum Capacity: The event can accommodate up to 40 teams.
- Registration: Registration requires organiser approval. The registration fee is ₹200 per team, paid online by the team lead.
Round 1 – Case Study Analysis & Strategic Deck Submission
- Registered teams will receive a comprehensive case dossier based on a contemporary technology venture.
- The case may involve challenges such as growth stagnation, product-market pivot, or ethical AI governance.
- Teams must analyse the quantitative and qualitative information provided in the case.
- Participants must identify the major/root causes of the business or technology challenge.
- Teams must develop suitable strategic alternatives and evaluate their feasibility.
- The submission must include consideration of the projected 3-year financial impact.
- Teams must submit a structured 5-page case abstract/strategic submission within the specified deadline.
- The submitted solution should clearly communicate the team's analysis, proposed strategy, feasibility and expected impact.
- The submission will be evaluated to determine the teams qualifying for the final round.
Round 2 – Grand Boardroom Pitch
- The top 10 qualifying teams from Round 1 will advance to the Grand Boardroom Pitch.
- Teams will present their strategic blueprint in a live boardroom simulation.
- Each team will receive 5 minutes for the presentation.
- The presentation must contain a maximum of 7 slides.
- After the presentation, the team will face 3 minutes of questions and stress-testing from the judging panel.
- Teams should be prepared to justify their assumptions, strategic decisions, feasibility, financial projections and expected outcomes.
Rules
- Each team must have 2–4 members.
- Team members must register under the same team and provide accurate participant information.
- A participant should not be part of multiple teams in the same event.
- Teams must submit their case analysis within the deadline specified by the organisers.
- The submitted case analysis must be the team's original work. Plagiarism, copied content or substantially reproduced work may result in disqualification.
- Teams must follow the prescribed 5-page limit for the Round 1 case abstract.
- The analysis should be based on the information provided in the case dossier, supported by appropriate reasoning and calculations wherever required.
- Teams must clearly explain their problem diagnosis, strategic alternatives, feasibility and projected financial impact.
- Only the top 10 teams selected after Round 1 will proceed to Round 2.
- Round 2 presentations must not exceed 5 minutes.
- The Round 2 presentation must contain no more than 7 slides.
- Teams must be present at the designated venue at the time specified by the organisers.
- During the Q&A/stress-testing session, teams must answer questions from the judging panel within the allotted 3-minute period.
- Teams must not engage in plagiarism, impersonation, unfair assistance, misrepresentation or any form of malpractice.
- Participants must maintain professional conduct throughout the competition.
- The judges' evaluation and qualification decisions will be treated as final, subject to the organisers' event procedures.
- The organisers reserve the right to modify the schedule or make necessary operational decisions in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- Any violation of the competition rules may result in warning, penalty or disqualification at the organisers' discretion.
