The way we dress, the choices we make, the opinions we voice and the paths we choose often invite questions, judgements and unsolicited opinions. But individuality was never meant to seek permission.
Audacity to Be invites you to capture the courage of being unapologetically yourself.
Rooted in the theme 'The Z Factor: Youth in Democracy and Dialogue', this photography competition calls upon young photographers to explore individuality, self-expression, societal expectations and everyday acts of rebellion through their lens.
From quiet defiance to bold declarations, from challenging stereotypes to embracing identities, capture the many ways in which a generation chooses to define itself.
About the Competition
Participants are invited to submit original photographs that interpret the theme through their unique perspectives and visual storytelling.
This is more than an online photography competition. All shortlisted entries will be printed and showcased at an offline photography exhibition during Juxtapose 2026 at Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
Each photograph will be displayed alongside its title and the artist's note, allowing visitors to engage with the thought, context and story behind the frame.
The exhibition will bring together diverse interpretations of the theme, creating a space where perspectives coexist, images provoke thought and conversations begin.
A panel of judges will evaluate the selected entries in person, and the winner will be announced at the exhibition on the main day of Juxtapose 2026.

Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated on the following parameters:
- Originality: Uniqueness of the concept and the photographer's perspective.
- Technical Execution: Composition, framing, lighting, focus and overall photographic quality.
- Thematic Relevance: How effectively the photograph interprets and connects with the central theme.
- Visual Storytelling: The ability of the photograph to communicate an idea, evoke emotions and initiate thought.
Rules and Guidelines
- All photographs must be original and based on the theme 'The Z Factor: Gen Z in Democracy and Dialogue'.
- Participants may submit multiple photographs.
- Each submission must include the participant's full name, college/institution name, contact number and email address.
- The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for generating or manipulating photographs is strictly prohibited.
- Photographs may be captured using any device, including mobile phones and professional cameras.
- Basic editing and colour correction are permitted. However, heavily manipulated photographs that compromise the authenticity of the original frame will not be accepted.
- Plagiarised or previously published photographs will not be considered.
- Participants must ensure that their submissions are appropriate and do not contain offensive, discriminatory or objectionable material.
- Photographs must be submitted through the designated Google Form. Participants must ensure that their Google Drive links are accessible and that viewing permissions are enabled for the organisers.
- Inaccessible or restricted links will not be considered for evaluation.
- Participants whose entries are shortlisted for the exhibition will be informed in advance and invited to visit the LSR campus to witness their photographs being showcased.
- The Department of Journalism, LSR, reserves the right to reject entries that do not comply with the prescribed guidelines.

Submission Process
Participants must submit their photographs through the Google Form provided below.
Ensure that all required details are filled in and that the submitted Google Drive links have the necessary viewing permissions.
