About the Hackathon

Welcome to Y-Hack '26, a National Level 24-Hour Hackathon organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Y-Hack '26 brings together passionate student innovators from across India to solve real-world engineering challenges through technology, collaboration, and innovation.

With dedicated Hardware and Software tracks, participants will transform ideas into working prototypes while competing for exciting prizes and gaining valuable industry exposure.

Registration Fee:

  • For IEEE Menbers : Rs.500\- per person
  • For Non-IEEE Members : Rs.600\- per person

Problem Statements

Y-Hack '26 consists of two competition tracks.

Hardware Track

- Hardware problem statements will be released on 1st September 2026. - Teams can analyze the challenge and prepare their hardware design before the event.

Software Track

- Software problem statements will be released on the spot on 10th September 2026. - Teams will develop innovative software solutions during the hackathon.

Teams can participate in either the Hardware Track or the Software Track.

Eligibility & Team Formation

- Team Size: 3–6 members - All team members must belong to the same institution. Inter-college teams are not permitted. - A participant can be part of only one team.

Rules & Guidelines

- Participants must carry a valid College ID card. - Project development must take place during the hackathon. - Pre-built or previously completed projects are strictly prohibited. - Open-source libraries, APIs, frameworks, and publicly available datasets may be used with proper attribution. - Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, development boards, and required hardware. - Internet access may be provided for research and development. -

Teams must submit:

- Working prototype/demo - Source code - Project documentation or presentation

- Each team will be allotted 5–10 minutes for the final presentation. - Judges' decision will be final and binding. - The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the rules if required.
