Opportunity brief
The Economics Networking Mixer is a lively, interactive space created to help economics students from different colleges connect and collaborate. Through light competition, themed tasks, and engaging activities, participants meet new people, work in diverse teams, and explore economics in a creative yet low-pressure environment. The event blends learning with fun, ensuring everyone gains fresh perspectives, meaningful connections, and an enjoyable experience that goes beyond the classroom.
There will be 4 rounds:
- Icebreaker Round: An interactive icebreaker game will be played to help everyone connect and naturally form their final teams for the competition.
- Chips Don't Lie: A sharp read, a convincing bluff, or one reckless call can change the entire game. Can teams balance risk and reward to walk away with enough capital to make their next move count?
- Jab We Bid: Teams compete in an auction to acquire resources to build a productive economy through smart investments and resource management.
- Des(h)iyappa: The bidding is over, and it's time to make those purchases count. Can teams turn their acquired policies into a coherent economic strategy, all condensed into a one-page case deck?
