About the Role
We are looking for a strong writer with excellent English, sharp research skills, and an eye for storytelling to join our application team. You will work on real student applications and help transform their academic experiences, achievements and aspirations into compelling application narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and refine SOPs, LORs, personal statements, university essays, and resumes/CVs under senior writer/editor guidance.
- Understand student profiles and identify their strongest stories, experiences and differentiators.
- Convert student inputs, questionnaires and meeting notes into clear and compelling narratives.
- Conduct university- and program-specific research to tailor application documents.
- Strengthen documents for structure, narrative flow, clarity, grammar, tone and authenticity.
- Ensure documents are personalized, credible, and free from generic or AI-sounding language.
- Incorporate feedback across multiple rounds of revisions while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with senior writers and counselors to develop the student's overall application narrative and positioning.
- Manage multiple student documents and deadlines simultaneously.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong storytelling and ability to write with clarity and personality.
- Excellent research and reading-comprehension skills.
- Strong command of grammar and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand a person's experiences and turn their experiences into meaningful stories.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and rewriting extensively.
- Prior experience with SOPs, essays, resumes, college applications, or long-form writing is a plus.
- Students/recent graduates from English, Journalism, Literature, Liberal Arts, Communications, Psychology, Management, or related fields are welcome.
