Opportunity brief
About the Opportunity:
Marque, the Marketing Club of IIM Rohtak, invites you to feature your article in the upcoming edition of its monthly magazine, Insights.
Here's the write-up in the same format, using your new topic:
This edition explores "Marketing Without the Marketer?", examining how artificial intelligence is reshaping the creative and strategic core of marketing itself.
As AI tools generate copy, visuals, campaigns, and even personalized brand communication within seconds, the boundaries of human creativity, authenticity, and skill in marketing are being redefined. From questions of authorship and originality to consumers' ability to distinguish real from generated content, brands are increasingly navigating a landscape where the human touch is no longer a given. This edition explores what AI means for creativity, authenticity, and the evolving skillset of the modern marketer.
Themes:
Who Made This Ad?
AI tools can now generate copy, visuals, and even entire campaigns within seconds, raising questions about where human creativity fits in the process. Explore how the role of the marketer is evolving, from creator to curator, editor, or director, and whether AI-assisted work diminishes or elevates the craft of marketing.
Authenticity in an AI World
As AI becomes capable of mimicking human tone, emotion, and personalization at scale, the line between genuine and generated communication continues to blur. Discuss whether consumers can tell the difference, or even care, and what this shift means for how brands build and sustain authenticity.
The New Marketing Skillset
As AI takes over execution-heavy tasks, the skills that define a good marketer are being redefined. Examine how prompt engineering, creative direction, and strategic judgment are becoming as important as traditional marketing skills, and what capabilities will separate marketers who thrive from those who get left behind.
As AI continues to blur the lines between human and machine-made marketing, brands and marketers alike must navigate a landscape where creativity, authenticity, and skill are being redefined in real time. We invite you to explore what it truly means to market in an AI-first world, and what the future holds for the humans behind the brand.
