For all the curious minds and creative problem-solvers, MaSh, the Marketing Club of IIM Bangalore, in collaboration with Blabliblu Perfumes, presents an exciting case competition!

This competition brings together marketing acumen, creativity, problem-solving, and strategic thinking across four engaging rounds. From testing your industry knowledge to creating engaging content and solving a real-world business challenge, participants will be pushed to think beyond conventional solutions.

Round 1: Quiz | Online:

Think you know your brands, businesses, and marketing? Here's your chance to prove it.

The first round will test participants on their marketing aptitude, brand knowledge, industry awareness, and business understanding through an online quiz.

  • Date: 20th August
  • Time: 12:00 PM – 11:59 PM
  • Format: Online
  • The quiz will be conducted within the specified window.
  • Shortlisted teams will be announced on 21st August.

Round 2: Reel Challenge:

Time to take your marketing creativity from the boardroom to the screen!

Shortlisted teams will participate in a Reel Challenge, where they will be required to create and post a reel based on the challenge brief shared with them. This round will test your creativity, storytelling, content creation, and ability to engage an audience.

  • Submission window: 21st – 29th August
  • Reels must be posted on the public social media accounts.
  • The reel must adhere to the guidelines shared by the organizing team.
  • Be at your creative best, if you reach finals, your reel will be showcased to the judges

Rules:

  • All team members must be present in the reel.
  • The reel must not contain any identifiable reference to the participant's college, including college names, logos, merchandise, campus visuals, or other elements that reveal the institution.
  • Any violation of the above rules may lead to disqualification.
  • The content submitted must be original and created specifically for the competition.
  • The reel must be posted within the stipulated submission window.
  • Further submission guidelines will be shared with the shortlisted teams.

The shortlisted teams for the next round will be announced on 8th September.

Round 3: 2-Page Problem Statement | Online:

Now, it's time to put your strategic thinking to the test.

In this round, participants will receive a real-world marketing problem statement and will be expected to identify the key challenges, develop meaningful insights, and recommend practical, implementable solutions.

Participants will be evaluated on their understanding of the problem, quality of insights, strategic thinking, feasibility of recommendations, and clarity of communication.

  • Submission window: 8th – 13th September
  • Format: Deck submission
  • Teams must submit their solution within the stipulated deadline.
  • The submission should be limited to 2 pages.

The top teams will advance to the final round.

Round 4: The Final Showdown :

The final round is where the best ideas meet the jury.

The shortlisted finalists will present their solutions to a panel of judges.

  • Date: To be announced
  • Format: To be announced
  • The final presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the jury.
  • The final round will be subject to jury availability.

Come prepared to defend your strategy, justify your choices, and convince the jury that your solution deserves to win.

Rules & Regulations:

  • This is a team event, with each team consisting of 1 to 3 participants.
  • Students from all colleges and institutions are eligible to participate.
  • Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible.
  • Inter-college teams are allowed.
  • Participants from different specializations/programs may form a team.
  • Each team must designate one member as the Team Leader.
  • A participant can be a part of only one team.
  • Teams must adhere to the submission formats and deadlines specified for each round.
  • Only submissions made within the stipulated timelines will be considered.
  • All content submitted as part of the competition must be original and created by the participating team.
  • Any form of plagiarism, impersonation, manipulation of submissions, or violation of competition guidelines may result in immediate disqualification.
  • Participants must follow the specific instructions communicated for each round.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any team found violating the competition rules.
  • The decision of the organizing committee and the jury shall be final and binding.
