ONE HACK — 8-Hour Web3 Hackathon
About the Hackathon:
ONE HACK is an 8-hour, Web3-focused hackathon organized by Hackers Cult at NSUT, Delhi. The hackathon is designed for builders who want to solve real-world Web3 challenges by developing practical and innovative solutions within a limited time frame.
Unlike open-ended hackathons, ONE HACK will follow a problem-statement-based format. Participants will be provided with specific Web3 problem statements and must build their projects exclusively around the assigned problem statement.
Eligibility:
- Students, developers, designers, Web3 enthusiasts and builders are welcome to register.
- Participants can participate solo or in teams of 2–4 members.
- Inter-college teams are allowed. Members of a team can belong to different colleges or institutions.
- Inter-specialization teams are allowed. Teams can include members from different fields such as Computer Science, Design, Management, Blockchain and other related fields.
- Participants should have an interest in or basic understanding of Web3, blockchain, decentralized applications, smart contracts or related technologies.
- There is no requirement for every team member to be from the same college, specialization or academic background.
Registration & Screening Process:
- Registration Deadline: 5 September 2026
- All registered participants/teams will go through a screening process.
- Shortlisted participants will be invited to participate in the offline hackathon at NSUT, Delhi.
- Selected Participants Announced: 7 September 2026
- Problem Statements Released & Explained: 8 September 2026
- The problem statements will be shared and explained before the hackathon so that shortlisted teams can understand the challenge and prepare accordingly.
Hackathon Format:
- The hackathon will take place on 13 September 2026 at NSUT, Delhi.
- The total hacking/building duration will be 8 hours.
- Participants may participate individually or in teams of 1–4 members.
- A set of Web3-focused problem statements will be provided to the participants.
- Each team must select and work on one of the provided problem statements.
- Teams are expected to build a functional prototype/solution addressing the selected problem statement within the 8-hour duration.
- There will be no open innovation tracks.
- Projects must remain directly relevant to the assigned problem statement.
- Participants may use appropriate technologies, frameworks, APIs, blockchain networks, development tools and other resources unless specifically restricted by the organizers.
- Teams will submit their final projects before the submission deadline announced during the hackathon.
- Projects will be evaluated by the judging panel based on criteria such as innovation, technical implementation, relevance to the problem statement, functionality, usability and overall impact.
Rules:
- All projects must be based on one of the official problem statements provided by the organizers.
- Open-ended projects that do not address a provided problem statement will not be eligible for evaluation.
- Teams must consist of 1–4 members.
- Solo participation is allowed.
- Inter-college and inter-specialization teams are allowed.
- Participants must register with accurate and complete information.
- A participant cannot be a member of more than one team.
- Teams must build their solution during the designated hackathon period. Pre-existing projects cannot be submitted as the primary hackathon submission.
- Participants may use open-source libraries, frameworks, APIs and publicly available resources, provided that their use complies with the respective licenses.
- Any use of pre-existing code, templates or components should be disclosed if required by the organizers.
- Plagiarism, impersonation, cheating or submission of someone else's work will result in immediate disqualification.
- Teams must submit their project within the announced submission deadline.
- Teams may be asked to provide a project demo and explain their implementation to the judges.
- The organizers reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate the rules or are unrelated to the assigned problem statement.
- The organizers' and judges' decisions regarding eligibility, evaluation and final results will be considered final.
