About the Hackathon:
Geeks2Code is a completely virtual hackathon that brings together students, developers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts to build innovative solutions to real-world problems.
The hackathon follows a 3-round format, beginning with idea submission, followed by an online mentoring round for shortlisted teams, and concluding with the final project presentation and evaluation.
The event is completely virtual, so participants can take part remotely from anywhere.
Eligibility:
- Open to students, developers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts.
- Participants from different colleges/universities can form a team.
- Inter-college teams are allowed.
- Participants from different academic branches/specializations can form a team.
- Inter-specialization teams are allowed.
- Each team must have a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 6 members.
- A participant can be part of only one team.
- Participants must provide accurate information during registration.
- All participants must follow the official hackathon rules and code of conduct.

Geeks2Code follows an Open Innovation approach. Participants are encouraged to identify meaningful real-world problems and build innovative, technology-driven solutions.

Wayzyy Special Track
- Participants can choose to work on real-world problem statements provided by Wayzyy, focused on practical challenges in hiring, recruitment, talent discovery, and technology.

Special Problem Statements
- Projects submitted under the Wayzyy track will be evaluated based on innovation, technical implementation, problem-solving ability, and real-world impact.
- Potential Hiring Opportunity: Participants or teams demonstrating exceptional technical skills, innovative thinking, and strong project execution may be considered for potential hiring opportunities with Wayzyy.
- These themes are not restrictive. Participants are free to build solutions in other technology domains as well, provided their project addresses a meaningful problem and demonstrates innovation, technical implementation, and real-world impact.
Hackathon Format:
Round 1: Idea Submission
Teams will submit a PPT describing their proposed solution.
The PPT should include:
- Problem statement
- Proposed solution
- Selected theme/domain
- Innovation/USP
- Technology/approach
- Expected impact
- Implementation plan
- Team details
PPT Submission Deadline: 14 September 2026:
Submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, problem relevance, feasibility, potential impact, and clarity.
Shortlisted teams will advance to Round 2.
Round 2: Online Mentoring
Shortlisted teams will participate in an online mentoring round with experienced mentors.
Mentors will provide guidance and feedback on:
- Problem definition
- Technical approach
- Architecture and implementation
- Product direction
- Feasibility and scalability
- Overall project improvement
Online Mentoring Round: 17–18 September 2026
Teams can use the feedback from mentors to refine and develop their solutions before the final round.
Round 3 : Final Presentation & Evaluation
Shortlisted teams will present their completed solutions to the judging panel.
The final round will include:
- Project demonstration
- Technical explanation
- Presentation/pitch
- Q&A with judges
Final Round: 20 September 2026
The final winners will be selected based on the judging criteria.

Submission Requirements:

Rules:
- Each team must have 2–6 members.
- Inter-college teams are allowed.
- Inter-specialization/branch teams are allowed.
- Each participant can be part of only one team.
- Participants must submit their work before the specified deadlines.
- Plagiarism, copied projects, or previously developed/submitted projects presented as new work may result in disqualification.
- Teams may use publicly available libraries, APIs, frameworks, datasets, and open-source tools, subject to their respective licenses.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights or permissions for any third-party assets or content used in their projects.
- Projects should demonstrate meaningful technical implementation rather than being limited to a concept or presentation.
- Any attempt to manipulate registration, submissions, judging, or results may result in disqualification.
- Participants must maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the event.
- Organizers may request additional information or verification regarding a submission.
- The judges' decision regarding the final results will be final.
- Organizers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule or rules and will communicate any changes to participants.
- IoT-based projects are not eligible for this edition.
Event Mode:
Completely Virtual / Online
All stages of Geeks2Code—including registration, idea submission, mentoring, communication, development, and final presentations—will be conducted online.
Participants can participate remotely from anywhere.
