Opportunity brief
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, verify, and manage export and import documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin (COO), Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), Insurance Certificates, and other shipping documents.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transporters, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient shipment execution.
- Liaise with internal departments such as Sales, Accounts, Procurement, and Logistics to collect, verify, and process shipment-related documentation.
- Track shipments and monitor the movement of shipping documents from origin to destination.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and regulatory filings.
- Prepare and manage Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, ensuring compliance with banking and international trade requirements.
- Monitor customs clearance activities and resolve documentation discrepancies to avoid shipment delays.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding shipment status, documentation progress, and any operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, international trade regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, Customs Regulations, DGFT procedures, and Letter of Credit (LC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong coordination, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in International Logistics, Export-Import Operations, or Supply Chain.
