Opportunity brief

We are looking for a techsavvy, curious, and QA passionate individual who enjoys understanding how software works, exploring different user scenarios and finding what could go wrong. As a QA intern you will work closely with QA Engineers and Developers to test web and mobile solutions, identify defects, explore edge cases, and contribute to delivering reliable, high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand assigned solutions, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria with guidance from the QA team.
  • Create, update, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, smoke, regression, and retesting activities.
  • Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence.
  • Log and track defects using the team's designated issue-tracking tools.
  • Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
  • Test common user journeys, input validations, error handling, and basic usability across browsers and web applications.
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers and Developers to clarify expected and observed application behavior.
  • Execute assigned user stories and validate whether the implemented solution meets defined acceptance criteria.
  • Support release-readiness checks and contribute to overall product quality.
  • Document test results, observations, and user acceptance outcomes as required.

Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance principles.
  • Knowledge of manual testing, including test-case design, test execution, defect reporting and retesting.
  • Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Strong logical and analytical thinking with good attention to detail.
  • Curiosity to explore both expected and unexpected user behavior.
  • Basic understanding of application development and supporting technologies.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to Jira, TestRail, or similar test and defect-tracking tools is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recently completed or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering and other related fields.
  • Prior internship or project experience in a SaaS-based technology company.
  • Freshers with relevant academic projects, coursework, certifications, or self-learning in software testing courses are encouraged to apply.
