Opportunity brief

The Quantum Build Challenge **Q-Hack India 2026** is a national-level quantum hackathon hosted by QuantumRIT at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, as part of Quantum Week 2026, a IBM Qiskit Fall Fest program.

The hackathon brings together students, developers, researchers and quantum enthusiasts to explore real-world applications of quantum computing. Participants will move from idea to prototype through a competitive build experience, with access to mentorship, technical resources and a platform to showcase their work.

Whether you are new to quantum computing or an expert, the challenge is designed to encourage experimentation, practical problem-solving and ambitious ideas.

**Hackathon at a Glance**

**Format:** 2 Rounds + Grand Finale

**Team Size:** 3–4 members

**Eligibility:** Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students

**Location:** Online + In-person Finale at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru

**Round 1 —** Idea & Prototype Submission 27 Sep – 7 Oct 2026

**Round 2 —** Enhancement Sprint 10 – 29 Oct 2026

**Grand Finale:** 30–31 Oct 2026

**Important**

  • Solo participation is not permitted. Teams must consist of 3–4 members.
  • All team members must register individually on Devfolio.
  • Teams must be formed on Devfolio before submitting their Round 1 project.
  • Only the Team Lead should submit the Round 1 project submission form on behalf of the team.
  • The Round 1 submission must include the required idea ppt, Demo Video, Minimal Prototype, and GitHub Repository.

**Results & Further Updates**

Round 1 results will be announced on 10 October 2026. The Top 30 teams shortlisted from Round 1 will participate in the Round 2 Enhancement Sprint and subsequently attend the Grand Finale at Ramaiah Institute of Technology on 30–31 October 2026. No Restrictions
