Overview
Welcome to CodeHive: The 1v1 DSA Showdown—an esports-style competitive coding tournament designed for speed, precision, and raw problem-solving.
Forget standard, quiet LeetCode contests. In this single-elimination tournament, 16 shortlisted competitors face off head-to-head in real-time duels. Matches are recorded and broadcast in an esports-style YouTube VOD with full commentary and live visual telemetry tracking every test case.
The Twist: Pure Manual Execution
- No Copy-Pasting: Clipboard operations are completely locked on the CodeHive platform. You can consult documentation or search the web, but every single line of code must be manually typed into the editor.
- Real-Time Telemetry: Live progress bars update with every passed test case.
- Time Control: Fast-paced problem rounds where execution speed under pressure determines who advances and who gets eliminated.
Tournament Structure
- Bracket: 16 Players | Single Elimination | 4 Rounds (Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Finals).
- Match Format: 1v1 Duel. First player to pass 100% of test cases—or the player with the most test cases cleared when the timer hits zero—advances.
- Supported Languages: C++, Python, Java, JavaScript.
- Practice Week: Shortlisted players get immediate access to the CodeHive arena all week leading up to the tournament to run casual practice duels, test the no-paste mechanics, and stress-test the environment.
Eligibility & Selection
- Open to all college students and early-career developers.
- Selection Process: This is an application-based entry capped strictly at 16 competitors. Candidates are shortlisted based on their submitted LeetCode, Codeforces, or HackerRank profile ratings.
- Selected competitors must join the tournament Discord server and possess a working microphone for post-match reactions.
Prizes
- Grand Champion: ₹500 (Instant UPI transfer post-finals) + permanent spotlight on the CodeHive platform.
- All Final 16 Players: Featured match gameplay in the official CodeHive YouTube broadcast series.
