Opportunity brief
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering proposes to host Zinnovatio 4.0 – Gen Z Innovations Hackathon on 30-31 oct, 2026. This National-level flagship event will bring together creative and technically skilled minds from diverse engineering disciplines to collaboratively design solutions for real-world challenges.
The hackathon will be organized in a hybrid format, beginning with online screening rounds and culminating in an offline final showcase.
Key Objectives:
- Foster Creative Thinking: Motivate participants to explore emerging technologies and craft impactful solutions.
- Build Problem-Solving Competence: Present challenging problem statements to enhance analytical, coding, and design capabilities.
- Encourage Collaborative Learning: Facilitate teamwork, interdisciplinary exchange, and networking with like-minded innovators.
- Enable Industry Connect: Provide mentorship and interaction with industry leaders and potential recruiters.
- Transform Ideas into Prototypes: Support teams in turning innovative concepts into working models.

Affordable, accessible health solutions including preventive care, digital health, mental wellness, and devices for special needs.
Focus: Telemedicine, Med-AI, prosthetics, mental health apps.
- Education, Skilling & Future of Work
Reimagining education delivery, personalized learning, employability, and lifelong skilling per NEP-2020.
Focus: EdTech, VR/AR learning tools, AI tutors, skill marketplaces.
- Energy, Environment & Climate Action
Innovations for clean energy, sustainability, climate resilience, and conservation.
Focus: Renewable energy, carbon capture, EV, circular economy.
- Defence, Aerospace & National Security
Indigenous solutions in aerospace, defence logistics, cybersecurity, and border security.
Focus: Drones, satellite tech, secure comms, surveillance.
