Burns & McDonnell is hiring for the role of Trainee Mechanical/Process Engineer - 2027 Batch Campus Recruitment (WTR - Piping)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

- You'll be joining the ranks of our Water Global practice has been providing round-the-clock support to our US offices since 2020. - You'll report to the department manager. - Work on exciting projects related to piping design & engineering. - And these projects aren't limited to a local scale; they are positioned globally, reflecting our worldwide impact. - You'll be a part of our vibrant Water Global Practice and work to build technical competence while supporting project execution under the guidance of senior engineers and designers. - Learn company standards, client specifications, and applicable codes such as ASME, API - Develop an understanding of the complete piping engineering and design workflow. - Assist in preparing and updating piping deliverables. - Review P&IDs and equipment layouts to understand piping routing requirements. - Support 3D piping modeling using software such as Plant 3D, Revit, or SP3D depending on project requirements. - Coordinating project design assignments and design teams. - Reviewing vendor drawings. - Perform basic quality checks on drawings before they are issued for review. - Participate in model review meetings and document action items. - Assist in updating engineering documents based on review comments. - Follow company Quality Management System (QMS), project procedures, and safety requirements. - Continuously improve technical knowledge through training and self-learning. - Travel to the United States on request and requested to support assignments on projects and overall office needs. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in chemical/mechanical engineering from an accredited institute - Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a reputed university/institute in India - Candidate should be passing out as part of the 2027 batch only - Proficient in the English language. - Prior internships in piping are preferred. - Computer software knowledge in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other tools.
