About the Company:
Bharat Alt Fuel Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Technical Intern to join our Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) team. This internship is ideal for final-year engineering students or recent graduates who are eager to build a career in the renewable energy sector. The intern will gain practical exposure to solar project design, feasibility studies, electrical engineering, tendering, project planning, and site execution while working alongside experienced professionals on utility-scale and C&I solar projects.
Responsibilities:
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct technical and commercial feasibility studies for Solar PV projects, including site assessment, energy generation analysis, and project viability evaluation.
- Project Support: Assist in preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), project documentation, quality records, and technical reports for Solar EPC projects.
- Electrical Design & Engineering: Support the engineering team in electrical design calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, inverter sizing, protection calculations, and preparation of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Electricity Bill Analysis: Analyze electricity bills, study tariff structures, evaluate energy consumption patterns, and identify opportunities for solar implementation and energy savings.
- Tender Assessment: Review tender documents, evaluate technical and commercial requirements, prepare bid comparisons, assist in L1 analysis, and support tender submission activities.
- Technical Assistance: Provide support in system design, engineering calculations, technical documentation, report preparation, and compliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulations.
- Site Survey & Visits: Participate in site surveys and project site visits to collect technical data, assess existing electrical infrastructure, analyze site feasibility, and support system design.
- Government Policies & Regulations: Research and stay updated on Central and State Government policies, MNRE guidelines, DISCOM regulations, net metering policies, subsidies, and other renewable energy regulations.
- Vendor & Procurement Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain technical specifications, quotations, datasheets, and product information required for project execution.
- Documentation & Quality Management: Maintain accurate project records, quality documentation, technical reports, engineering documents, and project trackers while ensuring compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)(M.Tech) or a related field.
- Exposure to tools like AutoCAD, PVSyst, or similar software used in design and project planning would be an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
- A keen interest in the renewable energy sector is essential.
