Opportunity brief

Not another "make a PPT and call it innovation" hackathon.

Forged in Fire 2026 is all about building stuff that actually works — hosted at BPIT, Delhi.

Online Round: 21 September 2026

Offline Finale: 29 September 2026

Prize Pool: ₹10,000

Venue: BPIT, Delhi

How It Works:

Round 1 — Online:

  • Don't have a fully polished product? Who cares.
  • Just show us:

-

  • Your technical architecture
  • A working demo/prototype
  • What you're building + why it actually matters
  • If your tech is solid and your demo works, you're through to the offline round.
  • No unnecessary 50-slide pitch deck energy.

Round 2 — Offline Finale:

  • Qualified? Now you're in the fire.
  • Come to BPIT on 29 September, build further, break things, fix them, and ship your final solution.
  • And yes — every team that qualifies gets a FREE n8n account to use during the offline round.

Pick Your Battle:

n8n Sponsored Track:

  • Automate everything.
  • Build crazy-good workflows using n8n — AI automation, agentic workflows, integrations, data pipelines, autonomous processes, whatever you can cook up.
  • If it involves AI + automation + workflows, you're probably cooking.

Agentic Track:

  • Chatbots are cool. Agents are cooler.
  • Build systems that can actually think → plan → use tools → take action.
  • Multi-agent systems, coding agents, research agents, AI assistants, agent orchestration, autonomous systems — go wild.

Open Innovation:

  • No box. No predefined problem.
  • Got an idea that doesn't fit the other tracks?
  • Build it.
  • FinTech, Cybersecurity, Web3, EdTech, HealthTech, AI, DevTools, Sustainability, IoT — whatever problem you wanna solve.
  • If it's innovative and actually works, we wanna see it.

Team Rules:

  • Inter-college teams? YES.
  • Different branches/specializations? YES.
  • Mix your skills. Build together.
  • Pick one track for your project.
  • Your project should be your team's work.
  • Open-source tools, APIs, frameworks, etc. are allowed.
  • Don't pull a Ctrl+C → Ctrl+V on someone else's project. Plagiarism = instant L.
  • Online round requires a working demo + technical architecture.
  • Qualifying teams must attend the offline finale at BPIT.
  • Judges will evaluate tech, architecture, innovation, execution, impact & demo.
  • Judges' decision is final.

What's in It for You?:

  • ₹10,000 Prize Pool
  • Goodies for participants + winners
  • FREE FOOD during the offline round
  • FREE n8n account for every team that qualifies
  • Build with other cracked builders

TL;DR:

  • 21 SEPT → Build + Show us your tech online.
  • You qualify → FREE n8n account
  • 29 SEPT → Pull up to BPIT
  • Build. Break. Fix. Ship.
  • WIN ₹10,000 + goodies + bragging rights.

Don't overthink it:

You don't need a perfect product.

You just need something that works, has a solid technical backbone, and makes us go:

"Okay… these guys are cooking."
