Baker Tilly is hiring for the role of Associate - Managed Services - Accounting and Finance!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Deliver accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting services for US/global clients under direct supervision. - Execute day-to-day core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. - Perform revenue data entry, import data files, and generate operational/financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles. - Capture non-operated joint interest billing costs via AP using third-party data imports and manual entry. - Reconcile imported data files and system outputs to validate data completeness and resolve discrepancies prior to senior review. - Proactively communicate project status, escalate workflow inefficiencies or roadblocks, and adhere to time budget expectations. - Execute standardized accounting workflows while recommending operational process improvements.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field preferred. - Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or general ledger management (experience in professional services or Upstream Oil & Gas is a plus). - Functional Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles, bookkeeping, payroll concepts, and internal accounting controls. - Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software/ERP tools. - Excellent adaptability, time management, and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to manage deliverables across multiple clients.
