Opportunity brief
Baller Bot is a high-energy robot football challenge where two teams go head-to-head with one robot each, competing to score more goals than their opponent. It's more than a game—it's creativity, strategy, engineering and teamwork in action.
Guidelines:
- Baller Bot is a head-to-head robot football challenge. Two teams compete with one robot each in a goal scoring arena. Control your robot, outplay your opponent and score more goals to win the match!.
Rules:
- Participating robots may be wirelessly or wired controlled. At all times, the robot must fit within the specified dimensions of 30 cm (length) × 30 cm (width) × 25 cm (height). A 5% tolerance is permitted on the specified dimensions.
- Teams may participate with any number of robots throughout the event. However, each robot must be operated by a different driver. The same driver is not permitted to operate more than one robot during the event.
- Batteries must be sealed, immobilized electrolyte type (gel cell, lithium, NiCad, or dry cells). A voltage cap of 24V max.
- The robot must not emit infrared light. However, optical sensors (e.g. infrared-distance-sensors) may be used if they do not affect other robots.
- Infrared light-reflecting materials must not be used on the outside. If robots are painted, they must be painted matte. Minor parts that reflect infrared light could be used only if other robots are not affected. Robots must not produce magnetic interference for other robots on the field.
- If a team claims that their robot is affected by the other team's robot in any way they must show proof/evidence of the interference. Any interference must be confirmed by a Referee if a claim is placed by the other team.
- The robot can be autonomous or manually controlled using Remote-control system.
- Robots must be constructed and programmed in a way that their movement is not limited to only one dimension and must move in all directions.
- Any robotic parts/building material can be used until the robot meets the above specifications and if the design and construction are primarily the original work of the team.
