Opportunity brief
We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer who is eager to learn, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is motivated to grow and share knowledge.
What to expect:
- Work in a supportive environment for international clients
- Work closely with an experienced software developer who'll be guiding and mentoring you
- Contribute to the team goals and work on tasks covering the design and implementation of data processing systems, data pipelines and data visualization solutions
- Actively communicate tasks, requirements, issues and open questions with your mentor, the team and the client
- Learn new technologies, attend technical and soft-skills trainings and take professional certifications
- Develop complex queries, writing DB scripts and stored procedures
- Develop new client specific reports and modifying existing ones, both pro-actively, in order to improve operational efficiencies, and in response to customer requests
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with existing reports and data by analyzing SQL and reports
Requirements
The perfect candidate meets the following:
- Solid knowledge in data modeling, data processing and data warehousing principles
- Database development skills and knowledge in SQL
- Experience with a one or more of database servers (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
- Fluency in English
