Overview
Beyond the Brief 1.0 is a case-based consulting competition designed to challenge participants' analytical thinking, creativity, strategic problem-solving, and business acumen through real-world business scenarios.
The competition centres on an emerging gold jewellery brand facing challenges in customer acquisition, customer retention, and excess unsold inventory. Participants will be required to develop practical, cost-effective business and marketing strategies to drive sales, strengthen customer relationships, and establish a distinctive market position against competitors such as PC Jeweller, GIVA, and Palmonas.
Competition Structure
Round 1: Unstop Quiz (Online Mode)
Participants will test their knowledge and understanding through an online quiz.
Round 2: Casebook Release (Online Mode)
A partial casebook will be released to help participants familiarise themselves with the brand, the jewellery industry, its target audience, and the competitive landscape.
Round 3: Case Presentation (Offline Mode)
- The complete casebook and actual problem statement will be revealed on the day of the competition.
- Teams will have a maximum of two hours to analyse the problem, formulate recommendations, and prepare a three-slide PowerPoint presentation.
- Each team will present its proposed solution directly to the judging panel.
